Having grown up in the same church and knowing Madison’s family my whole life made this wedding day extra fun and special for me. Madison and Michael chose New Orleans as their wedding destination as it holds a special place in their love story. While in college, Madison and Micheal were set up on a blind date to a formal which was held in New Orleans and from there the rest was history.
From the very first email I received from Madison, I knew this was going to be a wedding I would never forget! When I heard the wedding was going to be in New Orleans’ French Quarter, I just knew it was going to be super fun and exciting. Now I am thrilled to get to share these images from their fabulous weekend with you!
Madison and Michael’s entire wedding party, along with family and friends, stayed in the fabulous Hilton St. Charles. When the House of Blues in New Orleans is your wedding venue, you know it will be quite the celebration! Madison and Michael’s first look, which was a very special time, took place in City Park which is a 1,300 acre park about 15 minutes from the French Quarter. Fun Fact: City Park in New Orleans is 50% larger than Central Park in New York…. and proved to be the perfect spot to find a little shade and some greenery for those outdoor wedding images Madison and Michael were after. The night before the big day, Michael’s family hosted such a fun and absolutely delicious rehearsal dinner at the Bourbon House on Bourbon Street and was the perfect place to kick off the wedding weekend. With amazing venues like the Hilton St. Charles, House of Blues, City Park and the Bourbon House, you can’t go wrong!
It was truly an honor to get to come along for the weekend and photograph every minute of it - from the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding ceremony, and reception— it was all such a beautiful, sweet, fun time. Congratulations Madison and Michael!
