As the new year has begun, I have so enjoyed reflecting back on all of the incredible people and events that I had the honor of photographing over the course of the last year. I am truly honored for each and every opportunity to photograph family and friends. I appreciate each invitation to be a part of the special moments and events in your lives.
I am especially thrilled to share this latest session with you! Ashley & Damon's engagement session was my very last session of 2017! And if I do say so myself, it was a pretty great way to end the year! My parents and Ashley’s parents have known each other for many years. Here’s a fun fact for you - our families have lake houses right across the water from each other. Having grown up in the same lake slough, we have been “lake neighbors” for a very long time!
Ashley and Damon are truly the cutest high school sweethearts! Having actually attended the same high school and college, these two have been sweethearts for quite a while! Theirs is a fairly short engagement and they are quite busy planning all of the details of their special day! I am so excited to be photographing their wedding in May, and I look forward to sharing those pictures with you as well.
This sweet couple chose to have their engagement pictures taken on Ashley’s family’s land, and I surely understand why! I loved shooting this session for them in a such a special location - hundreds of acres of beautiful property in Elmore County. It was the perfect backdrop for a beautiful December afternoon. I think Ashley and Damon would agree that the weather was definitely a bit on the cold side for us Alabamians, but they were troopers as evidenced by these gorgeous images we were able to capture.
